What a week! It’s St. Georges Day today (if you are reading this on the 23rd April 2022!!!) and the Queen turned 96 on Thursday. Are you feeling patriotic?

The Jubilee isn’t far away either and it seems that the royal family is all over the news and internet. Whether you are a fan of the monarchy or not, it’s nice to celebrate the milestones and the good things in life, so I’m hoping the Jubilee will be a happy time when Kettering people can get together and raise a glass to good old Queen Liz. With so many horrible things going on in the world, it will be a breath of fresh air.

Talking about nice things, my favourite TV show is starting again next week. No not Dr Who (that’s my kids favourite) or the bake off! (getting warmer) …it’s the Great British Sewing Bee of course!!! Lots of lovely sewing and loads of inspiration – I can’t contain my excitement. If you can’t wait for the Bee and want a nice easy sewing project to get you in the mood, I have been making bunting out of the new fabric that came in this week. It’s bagged out bunting and I’ve written some instructions for beginners. Click here for the PDF…Bagged Out Bunting – Instruction

If you are new to sewing and want to start with a simple project, I did a basic (not bagged out) version a few weeks ago. Click here for details…Beginners Bunting

Happy Sewing!
