If you liked the drawstring bag tutorial last month, you’re going to LOVE this one! It’s a drawstring backpack!
It’s a cute way of kitting out the kid in your life with a practical trick or treat bag. They can carry all the wonderful treats on their back, and look spooky cool at the same time!
The one in the main picture (and at the foot of this page) is made from my favourite Halloween fabric, it’s got skulls, moths, black cats and potion bottles on it.
I have some fabulous spooky Halloween prints available like the one shown here with skulls and red roses, so come and have a browse if you are making costumes.
Don’t feel restricted though, this is a bag that you can make from any fabric you like. Make one to match your kids favourite outfit, or make matching bags for each child and use them to take toys on trips. There are lots of uses for this easy to make back pack.
I have written a cheat sheet which you can download here…
Or if you prefer a video (and I love them!), take a look at this one from YouTube. It’s the same lady who made the simple drawstring bag video and she is very watchable, not too much chatter and she looks like she’s having fun! Who wouldn’t when they are sewing! It’s a very jolly pass time!
